The Ghaf is the
national tree of
the UAE and
planting it not
only ensures the
survival of this
national
treasure for
generations to
come, but it
also provides a
valuable impact
for the UAE
environment and
beyond by:
• absorbing CO2
and generating
fresh oxygen
• providing
habitat and food
for native
wildlife
• offering
valuable shade
in the desert
heat
• giving ground
resistance to
prevent against
erosion
For the UAE, an
accelerating
decline in Ghaf
trees and
woodlands
implies a loss
in cultural and
biological
heritage. Our
school adopted a
sustainable
practice in
seeking to
reduce the
environmental
impact of our
operations
wherever we can.
As a part of
this our
students
participated in
“Give a Ghaf”
programme to the
neighbouring
school DPS
(Delhi Public
School). The
students visited
the school and
planting about
20 plants in the
school premises.
Students of DPS
and also the
staff earnestly
participated in
the activity. As
citizens of this
planet, our
students shared
a collective
responsibility
to protect the
Earth’s
resources and
ecosystems.
A campaign
